Embracing the luminous reflections and cyclical transformations of rivers and lakes, Annie Hejny combines collected freshwater sand sediment with acrylic to share the stories of these places. From the Mississippi River to Lake Michigan, her relationship with water illuminates each canvas as an invitation for us to remember that we are bodies of water too.
